As pure as Homemade Ghee

Call me old-fashioned, but I’m the kind of person who prefers homemade food to anything purchased outside. I’m skeptical about the ingredients used, the addition of preservatives and I’m never satisfied with the taste. This makes things more difficult for me though, because I have set high standards for myself and I end up spending more time in the kitchen preparing things on my own.

However things have changed from the time my husband brought home Aashirvaad Svasti Ghee. I was ill, and he served me some ‘daal – chaawal’ topped with a dollop of melting ghee. It’s a taste that I will remember all my life. Not only was it tasty, but also did it soothe me like my mother’s food. It tasted like home! I was taken aback at how he (my husband) could perfect the art of making ghee, without even trying it once earlier. So like any other wife, I questioned and interrogated him until the truth came out! Imagine my shock when I figured that it was not homemade, but in fact, Aashirvaad Svasti Ghee. It was a pleasant surprise, in a way that it changed my outlook on readymade food - at least as far as Ghee was concerned.

Since then, I have switched to Aashirvaad Svasti Ghee. With a taste that is so authentic, I can’t think twice. It adds the same, if not more flavour to my food, and my family relishes all that I cook- from the everyday daal-chaawal and roti- sabzi to the festive sweets. I think I found the special ingredient in my cooking- second to love of course.
